Happy

(
Cancun, México)

My trip to cancun was right on time. I needed a get-a-way. I needed some rest n’ relaxation. I needed some peace n’ tranquility. I needed to be around good people and love. Yet most importantly, I needed restoration.

Happy
(Beach Bummin’ It In Cancun, LOL)

There is nothing like going away for a while to get a new perspective. To breathe in some fresh air, sit back, lay on the beach (I was a total beach bum), meditate, n’ reflect. That my friends, is exactly what I did. I made some decisions, engaged in amazing…thought provoking conversations, surrounded myself with talented like-minded individuals that had one purpose…to be happy.

 Happy
(Laguna Beach Sunset)

Happiness is a choice I once read. I choose to be happy. I choose to surround myself with things that do nothing but make ME happy and I have enough sense to leave when I see that is not happening. After Cancun I flew to Cali, had cocktails on a roof top in Laguna Beach to meet this wonderful couple. They were celebrating there two year anniversary and the man asked me: “Do you love your life?” “Yes”I replied shockingly I did not expect him to ask me those questions. “Do you love the people in it?” “Yes”, I replied. “Do you love your peace?” “Yes”, I replied. “Then you would be crazy to let anything mess that up, don’t let anything in your circle that can change that.”

Sunset
(
Laguna Beach Sunset)

I sat and pondered in the sunset. I thought about a lot of things…one being, I love sunsets lol. The second thought was that he was right. Why do we allow things in our life to alter our happiness? Sometimes it is easier said than done but why allow that thing, person, or situation to have power over you? What are you hoping to gain out of that situation?  Maybe that things will change? Idk…maybe they will, but the couple encouraged me to make a “VETO” list. Make a list of things (or a vision board) of the things you want in life, the characteristics/qualities in a partner, n’ any other life goals or aspirations. I am still working on my list.

Happy

Life is too short to be unhappy, life is too short to settle. Why settle? Don’t settle for a mediocre job, a mediocre living, or a mediocre relationship. God says we are to live abundantly n’ from this trip I have seen more of the world n’ experienced his splendor…Be Happy, Never Settle, Live Abundantly.
