The Makeup Show Chicago 2013

Hi Ladies n’ Gents,

Brace yourself because there are a million pictures that follow! As you can see I was excited n’ I could not wait to get up to go to The Makeup Show Chicago!  This is my second time attending  n’ I must say this was by far the best yet! I absolutely adored the location this year from the high ceilings, beautiful natural light coming in from the large windows, n’ exposed brick gave the room a true eclectic feel. The building had so much character to it n’ totally captured the feel of the event. Once you walk in, get checked in, n’ get your booklet you had to wait for the freight to come down…

I remember thinking “hmmm this is different!” but I could not wait to see the set up, the crowd, n’ what awaits behind those doors…I said to my self “OPEN THE FLOOD GATES”!!!!

I felt a rush of pure utter EXCITEMENT when the freight doors opened n’ I knew the first place I wanted to visit which was Crown Brush! The line was crazy! You literally had to maneuver your way into a spot or else you would be waiting for hours. I understand why it takes so much time, a makeup artist has to feel the brush, think about it, feel it twenty more times, determine if they like the bristles…like I said it times time…

After I left crown brush I wanted to attend a seminar but I could not even get in the room lol! Note: If you want to have a seat at a seminar get there at least 15-20 minutes early! If you dont mind standing go at least 10 minutes before the start time…N e who…where were we…O! I walked around n’ saw some amazing makeup…

I finally wiggled my way into a seminar to see James Vincent n’ Danessa Myricks talk about staples in there Makeup kits! It was great n’  really inspiring! They had me run to the Kevin Aucoin (whos books I read) booth after to try there products n’ I must say they are amazing…

I was excited to meet the beautiful ladies of Magnolia Makeup! They are dolls n’ there products are amazing…

I bought two colors from them n’ I can not wait to try them out!!! I also meet some cool new people, made some friends, n’ ran into some of my awesome readers! That is always exciting to actually meet them in person…*Besos a todos*

This year I took away a lot from this event! I Visited some of my fav booths crown brush, Inglot, Nigels Beauty Emporium, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics n’ became a fan of new ones like Alcone, Kevin Aucoin, Ben Nye, n’ Magnolia Makeup. I also noticed that I made wiser purchasing decisions n’ bought pro items for my kit that I KNOW I will actually use. Last year I just went crazy n’ bought anything I wanted! I am looking forward to next years Event! Whenever I go I feel like I am at home n’ It can only get better from here!

P.S. For my makeup I am wearing: Chanel Perfection Lumière Foundation 64 n’ 94 mixed, Mac NW 35 Foundation as Highlight, Ben Nye Banana Powder, Nars Cacao for contour, Wet n’ Wild MegaLast Lipsticks with Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tar in Annika Over it, Chanel Mascara, Mac Black Track FluidLine, Mac Format Blush… k bye!

*Besos*
