Sooooooo this parenting thing is no joke! Like at all! However, the blessing is I LOVE all that comes with it; the good, bad and the ugly! Before the baby came so many women said to me:
“Get all the rest you can!”
“Do what you can for yourself now”
“Enjoy your quite time”
I can say they were right but most importantly it made me think of self care and how I can set myself up before hand to ensure I have something for myself. I love beauty and fashion so I thought…”Why not subscribe to some of my favorite magazines and a subscription box!” The magazines don’t cost much and the Sephora Play Subscription box was $10 a month. Unfortunately Sephora discontinued the service but they are in the works of releasing something new. Here are the items that came in the last Sephora Play Box:
You don’t have to spend a lot of money on your self care. It’s all about doing something you love to do and makes you feel good. It’s about giving yourself something to look forward to and making time for yourself! After I put him down to sleep I may either look at my magazines and work on my inspiration board (pictures coming soon) or pick an item out of my Sephora play box to play with.
Another thing I love to do for self care is take a bath and soak! Put on my robe, fuzzy slippers, and relax. Seeing that the Sephora Play Box is being revamped I am going to experiment with other boxes until I see what they come out with next. Feel free to suggest another beauty box.
