#MakeUsUp: The Honey Pot

Hey Friends,

I created the #MakeUsUp segment on www.Cmichellestyles.com to highlight and support black businesses in the beauty and fashion industries; hence the name “MakeUsUp”. For years I have been an advocate in my community supporting minority owned businesses. With all that’s going on in the world what better time to start this segment. More often than not our businesses are overlooked and underfunded making it really hard to get it off the ground. This is my way to help and do my part, which brings me great joy!

When I first learned about The Honey Pot a plant-based feminine care company by Bea Dixon. I was watching a target commercial. I remember thinking how cool it was to see a black woman on a national platform displaying her business. I remember feeling proud and wanting to support. Before my next trip to Target where her products are carried I saw an article on how she was getting discriminated against. Long and short in order to support her people went online and in the stores and everything sold out!

I recently went and purchased some pads. Come to find out they offer postpartum pads that are plant-based and free of chemicals and fragrance!!!! The postpartum pads have a cooling effect that soothes soreness. That combined with the Tucks witch hazel pads sounds like a match made in heaven! I wish those were in my local target but I will order them online. She offers all kinds of products for feminine care! Have you tried anything from The Honey Pot? Jump in the conversation over on Instagram @Cedasha_Michelle!

*Besos*
